A konjac face sponge with red clay, for skin that needs a little more.

Konjac is a plant root that swells into a soft, springy sponge in warm water and cleanses with the lightest possible exfoliation. The Rust version has red clay worked into the fiber. Red clay is traditionally used for dry, mature or tired-looking skin because it is one of the gentlest clays, mineral-rich and less drawing than green or charcoal. It works with water alone or a small amount of cleanser, and it composts when it wears out.

How to use

• Soak in warm water until soft, massage the face in circles, rinse
• Squeeze out, hang to dry between uses. Replace every 4 to 6 weeks. Compost when done
